Staticoff video competition TERMS and RULES

Intro to competition – why compete.

First, because you are creative and have great ideas, and it is fun to create a video clip that will be circulated all over the Internet.

Second, – we will try to keep your name as appropriate credit, so you and your creative mind will gain notoriety!

And third, you may win FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!

What’s StaticOff?  What’s Zapper Stopper?

StaticOff is a company that developed and is now marketing a revolutionary new product designed to protect people, pets and equipment from static electricity shock, or in short, to stop the static zap.

The Zapper Stopper, as the StaticOff product is called, looks a lot like a regular wall switchplate, except for a small transparent window and four small touch-points, on in every corner.

The user installs the switchplate just like any other switchplate – two screws and you’re done.  Now when you touch the any of the touch-points, you will discharge yourself from all static charge you may carry on your body.  If you do carry a charge (we do not carry a charge at all time.  Read our FAQ’s to find out when we are most susceptible) you will see an orange bleep in the transparent window.  The light is actually caused directly by the electrons that you carried on your body, on their way to ground.

Guidelines

What we look for in the winning clip:

Entraining, Informative, and thought provoking. The video clip should educate the public about the risks and inconveniences associated with static shocks, and that now there is a simple and inexpensive cure to the static zap problem.  You may want to concentrate on zapping people, zapping equipment, static cling, or just the solution to the pain of zapping yourself!

Funny, artful, and exciting message with a viral appeal of delivering this message is what we look for.
